However\, if you want to attend but have a health restriction\, please post or message me and we can make an accommodation as per the blog post above. \nWe start at 1 but feel free to drop by when you are able! It’s nothing formal. This meetup happens one Saturday a month. Phoenix has been lovely enough to offer their space for gaming. Their space is on Broadway in Capitol Hill next to Dick’s. The gaming space is in the back of the store.\nThey have a selection of demo games. I’ll bring some games and definitely bring things you’d like to play (and feel free to mention any requests or games you want to bring). You’re welcome to bring your own (non-alcoholic) drinks\, but they do sell (non-alcoholic) drinks there. SUMMARY:Extra Life Marathon 2021
DESCRIPTION:Join our team HERE. \nThe Extra Life Marathon is coming up\, where we game for 24 hours to raise money for Seattle Children’s Hospital. Typically\, we are able to raise a few thousand dollars as a team – we’ve started with $3000 goal but can always raise it! \nWe are back to doing an in-person event! Please note this event replaces our typical monthly board game day at Phoenix in November. \nAs with our usual Phoenix events\, we will follow store policies around vaccinations and masks. At present\, you must be prepared to show proof of vaccinations and masks must be worn in the store\, and attendance is capped at 32-36. If anything changes closer to the event\, we will update this space! \nWe do this event from 10AM-10PM on Saturday and Sunday. This is very flexible – while we encourage people to attend the whole time\, it is on the honor system for team members to fit in their 24 hours and can certainly attend when you are able. If you are not a team member raising money\, you are still welcome to join at any time to play games\, but we would request you donate to Extra Life (however small the amount) if you are able. Of course\, if you want to participate virtually\, you are welcome to join our team and do the gaming on your own\, but we are thrilled to have an in-person option back this year. There are no regional limitations for participating virtually\, and virtual participants can fit in their gaming anytime convenient for them in the calendar year. DESCRIPTION:Just a chance to meet up for some LGBTQ-flavored (allies also welcome) gaming and socializing. We start at 1 but feel free to drop by when you are able! It’s nothing formal. This meetup happens one Saturday a month. Co-hosts (as available) are John Cantrell-Blaine\, Randy McKinnon\, Tom Peskie and Andrew Shultz. \nPhoenix has been lovely enough to offer their space for gaming. Their space is on Broadway in Capitol Hill next to Dick’s. The gaming space is in the back of the store.  They have a selection of demo games. I’ll bring some games and definitely bring things you’d like to play (and feel free to mention any requests or games you want to bring). You are welcome to bring your own food and drink\, but they do sell (non-alcoholic) drinks there. Of course\, since they are offering us their space for free\, please consider buying a drink and/or shopping at the store if you can and please treat the staff well. \nFeel free to drop by and meet cool people without partaking of games\, that’s fine too. If you haven’t played a board game since Sorry and Monopoly\, no worries. We’re very friendly to new players. If you’re new to the group\, please come say hi and let us know that you’re there for the event\, as there are other patrons at the store (I’ll keep an eye out too).
