This meetup happens one Saturday a month. Co-hosts (as available) are John Cantrell-Blaine\, Randy McKinnon\, Tom Peskie and Andrew Shultz. \nPhoenix has been lovely enough to offer their space for gaming. Their space is on Broadway in Capitol Hill next to Dick’s. The gaming space is in the back of the store.  They have a selection of demo games. I’ll bring some games and definitely bring things you’d like to play (and feel free to mention any requests or games you want to bring). You are welcome to bring your own food and drink\, but they do sell (non-alcoholic) drinks there. Of course\, since they are offering us their space for free\, please consider buying a drink and/or shopping at the store if you can and please treat the staff well. \nFeel free to drop by and meet cool people without partaking of games\, that’s fine too. If you haven’t played a board game since Sorry and Monopoly\, no worries. We’re very friendly to new players. If you’re new to the group\, please come say hi and let us know that you’re there for the event\, as there are other patrons at the store (I’ll keep an eye out too). DESCRIPTION:The Extra Life Marathon is coming up\, where we game for 24 hours to raise money for Seattle Children’s. Typically\, we are able to raise a few thousand dollars as a team – we’ve started with $4500 goal but can always raise it! \nThanks to Phoenix Comics and Games for hosting! Go shop there. \nA Few Quick Notes: \n1. We game for 12 hours on Saturday and another 12 hours on Sunday\, with time to sleep in between. That means 10AM-10PM Sat\, 10AM-10PM Sun. (Times are TBD\, but these are the times we did last year.) \n2. You don’t have to attend the whole time! If you want to drop by for a few hours\, that’s cool. You don’t have to join the team to attend (though it’s encouraged). If you are participating as a team member\, technically you need to do 24 hours of gaming\, but you can always make up any missed hours on your own. \n3. Gaming includes anything that could be construed as a game. Past years have included lots of board games and video games (PS4\, Switch\, etc.). \n4. The event is free but donations are encouraged\, particularly if you are not participating in the whole 24 hours\, to help us meet our goal. \n5. You do not have to attend the physical event to join the team! We encourage you too\, and probably more fun\, but if you live out of the area and want to be part of our team\, you can feel free to game on your own or figure something else out. We’ve had team members who did a lot of solo gaming\, including live streams\, and raised a lot of money. \n6. Please feel free to bring food and drink. We may have a banquet permit to allow beer/wine/cider (TBA)\, but please make sure to bring your ID if you want to partake of any alcohol. \n6.
